IMPORTANT TIME! This may seem like an ordinary showcase. Yes, I’ll have some great surprise guests. Yes, I’ll be doing lots of new poems, and lots of poems that got me on the Nuyorican Slam Team and, consequently, to NPS Final Stage. If you consider me an ordinary poet, cool, understandable. Ordinary showcase.
But on June 11th, I will unveil the secret project I’ve been working on for my entire life. (Well, since I could walk).I can think of no better place to start than at the spot I did my first poem, the Nuyorican Poet’s Cafe’. I’m not ready, but it’s time.
